Dieting For Life
If you’re like me, you’re probably sick of all the hype about the latest weight loss fad, claiming it’s a diet that really works. I’m what you call a professional dieter – one who jumps from one diet program to the next. I don’t recall a time when I wasn’t on some sort of diet. There was always some wedding to go to, a hot date or if I just wanted to fit into a new dress. In the end, I figured that the only way I could keep the weight off is if a diet can offer me the following benefits.
One, a diet that really works offers flexibility. I don’t want to waste time finding a health food store in the middle of nowhere. Any diet that I can’t take on the road is not worth it. The same goes for any weight loss program that makes me slave for hours in the kitchen or requires expensive ingredients to make. If you’ve chosen a diet plan fails this first criteria, it’s just wasting your time and money. Losing weight doesn’t have to be that complicated.
Two, you know you’re on a diet that really works if it offers variety. I don’t have anything against mono eating, but eating the same diet recipe over and over again will just make me want to run to the nearest dessert shop even more! You’d want to be more motivated to try out new things if you’re on a new diet plan. As long as it doesn’t upset your stomach, you should be able to have a blast creating your meals – not dread making them.
One last thing a diet that really works can do is make you follow through… for life. I know I’ve found the real deal when I’ve learned new eating habits that have become as natural to me as breathing. Being human, its not easy to break old eating patterns, so I chose a weight loss program that is easy enough to do on a daily basis and won’t ask too much of my willpower. I’m now healthier and happier because I’m having fun, not feeling deprived of anything. Take my advice, once you’ve found a diet plan that’s for keeps, its bound to inspire even your family or friends to lose weight as well!
